Stainless steel spreader beams are commonly used in aggressive, high moisture concentration areas such as chemical plants or food industry, where corrosion goes as far as the deterioration of standard steel products. These spreader beams are monobeam, H-shaped or X-beam manufactured and can be fixed or adjustable.

The use of a spreader beam saves headroom related to a traditional slinging device.

Types of spreader beam and suspension systems

Stainless steel spreader beams are HEB, HEA (wide-flange H beams), IPE (European I-beam) or U beams manufactured. The load can be hooked on rings (or lifting lugs) in direct engagement or with slings. 

Load balancing

Load balancing is the slings precise positioning and determines the balance in relation to the centre of gravity of the load to be lifted.

Stainless steel spreader beams inclinometer equipped

The multi-purpose spreader beams can be equipped with an inclinometer embedded in the beam (optional) in order to guide precisely the operator when preparing the handling.

Adjustable steel monobeam spreaders allow to adjust the length centre distance between the lower hooks in order to suit the length of the load to be lifted. The secured step-by-step adjustment ensures safe lifting with optimised load balancing.

Fixed H-shaped stainless steel spreader beam

The typical structure of fixed H-shaped steel spreaders has a main beam on which stand two secondary beams. That kind of spreader beam is suitable for rectangular loads lifting. In order to ensure a high level of safety, the assembly of the H-shaped spreader beams is guaranteed without any load-bearing welds. 

Adjustable H-shaped stainless steel spreader beam

The special characteristic of the adjustable H-shaped spreaders is to have variable length beams. This type of versatile spreader benefits lifting both rectangular and square loads. The length of each arm adjustment has a safety notching device. 

X-shape stainless steel spreader beam
