Motorized gantry crane description

The motorized gantry crane is a lifting and handling device which has two legs extended by vertical posts supporting a sliding girder system. These gantry cranes can be moved under load and are equipped with all-axes motorization for a fully electric movement. They are an alternative to the installation of an overhead crane or a jib crane.

The entire structure is made of steel. Both legs are equipped with motorized wheels. A full stop limit switch device secures the structure when the gantry crane steer through the workshop environment. The IPE/HEA steel beam is supported by customer-specifically dimensioned posts. As a result, the headroom and span characteristics are typically cutom-made designed.

Connected to the electrical network or optional battery power equipped, our motorized gantry crane proves its amazing 3-axis versatility: travel, steering and lifting. The 4 wheels are powered by SEW-USOCOME device and the gantry crane can be fully controlled by a single operator on smooth, flat indoor floors.

Full-electric gantry crane as an alternative to the overhead crane

Regularly strictly used in industry plants, they are particularly useful in buildings for rent where steel structure adaptation is impossible. This type of motorized gantry crane wheels equipped is suitable for all environments with smooth, flat floors. These gantry cranes can also be available in a rail version for constrained rectilinear travel.
